Orange County Tobacco Free Coalition
Tonya is making an impact across our community through her dedication to promoting tobacco-free living.
She has partnered with the schools to help with prevention and cessation classes for students as well as she's trained the school staff on new emerging products so they're knowledgeable about the teen vaping epidemic.
Her work extends throughout the community, collaborating with healthcare providers to educate about resources such as the 12-week Indiana Quit Now program and IU Health's BEAT Tobacco program, which is an 8-week cessation program that provides support and tools like nicotine patches.
Beyond education and support, Tonya is also involved in policy work at the city, county, and state levels, helping to shape healthier environments for all residents. She builds strong partnerships with community organizations and promotes and schedules life-saving resources such as the IU Health Mobile Lung Screening Unit to visit our area.
